Registered players qualify for Accident/Excess Medical Coverage Insurance. Why do we offer Accident/Excess Medical Coverage Insurance? This policy gives our players a supplemental coverage designed to be used in conjunction with your medical insurance to help reduce your out of pocket expenses in the event you're injured while playing soccer.
If you are injured during a soccer game, complete a claim form and email your completed form to the to ISSA so the the official Verification officer can then verify that the player is indeed registered with ISSA. The claim is forwarded to the USASA National office. From there it is sent on the the insurance carrier for processing.
After about 10 days the player/claimant will receive a letter from the insurance company with the claim number and contact information so that the player can keep in constant contact with the insurance company.
It is very important that the player stay in contact with the insurance company. It is not up to the league of the state association to monitor your claim.
